The River Gallery
The gallery is a vibrant centerpiece holding some of the most astounding artistry on the Oregon coast.
Founded by Florence residents, Jan and Brian Jagoe, the gallery had been a lifelong dream of Jan’s that became reality when they moved from Southern California in 2003. Known for its picturesque beauty and thriving artist community, Florence became the perfect place for Jan and Brian to open their dream space.
Since the opening of The River Gallery, it has been a constant creative presence in the community. Local artists, using an array of diverse mediums, join us on our lovely little corner of Bay Street as we invite others to share in our enjoyment of art. The wide-ranging gallery invites locals, artists, and tourists alike all throughout the year to celebrate the beauty of creativity and enjoy being in the lively center of Old Town Florence.
We invite all to join us for our monthly artist receptions, art walks, and open houses which have become a staple of local life and culture here in Florence. Grab a glass of wine and a snack or two as you enjoy the exquisite artistry and stunning scenery and get a chance to experience what the Florence art community and The River Gallery has to offer.
Gallery Owner and Manager: Janelle Brady
Janelle began managing the gallery after moving to Florence in 2014. She is the daughter of gallery founder Jan Jagoe and is passionate about offering quality customer service and getting to know those who frequent our little corner of Bay Street.
She and her husband, Sean, live on the beach as they have always dreamed and are part of making Florence the lively and lovely community it is.
