Jan Jagoe

Jan was the founder and original artist who envisioned The River Gallery in Historic Old Town Florence.

Jan studied art and photography at San Diego State University. Several years ago, she began studying close-up photography with Paul Johnson at Palomar College in San Diego, California. "I love to share the beautiful things that I see through my camera lens." She also studied colored pencil drawing with Sandra Angelo in Escondido, California. "I'm looking forward to sketching wildlife in the area."

Jan always dreamed of opening an art gallery featuring local artists. Opening the River Gallery made her dream come true. The gallery currently features the work of more than 20 local artists.

Though Jan passed away in 2021, her beautiful memory lives on in this incredible gallery and in her family members who run it in her honor.
