The River Gallery Online Store

The River Gallery in Historic Old Town Florence, Oregon, overlooking the beautiful Siuslaw River, is owned and operated by Florence residents, Jan and Brian Jagoe. An accomplished artist herself, Jan envisioned the gallery as a place for local artists to display and celebrate their work. The gallery has become an important component of the Florence art community. Monthly artist receptions, art walks and open houses abound at The River Gallery.

The River Gallery is now featuring an online store where viewers may purchase fine art photography by Jan Jagoe; and hand-blown glass floats by Seal Rock artist, Bob Meyer. Through the use of the Paypal payment gateway, you may now choose to pay with your Credit Card or your Paypal Account. In the checkout process, choose the Paypal or Credit Card option and let Paypal make your purchase easy and safe for you.

After Glow is a photographic archival print of the arch structure under the Siuslaw River Bridge in Florence, Oregon. Every afternoon when the sun sets low over the dunes, the bridge structure and the old under-pilings glow with warm light. Jan Jagoe offers this image and several other fine art photographic prints on her River Gallery Online Store.

Raising the Bar is an archival color photographic print of the Siuslaw River Bridge in Florence, Oregon, and shows the center raising to allow a sail boat to pass. This iconic bridge is one of the few remaining "draw bridges" on the Oregon Coast. And it is a well-liked subject for both photographers and painters.

Jan Jagoe's Hidden Treasure photograph was the poster girl for the Hidden Treasures Glass Float Hunt along the Florence Beaches. Developed to encourage tourism in the Florence area, glass floats are tagged and hidden along the beaches and in the dunes. When a beachcomber finds a float, the finders-keepers rule stands, but they must bring the float into a designated store to register it.

North Jetty Drifters is a horizontal archival print featuring a still-life of glass floats hidden among the grasses on the Oregon Coast dunes. In this image Jan captures the mood and drama of the Oregon coast: the dark clouds off the horizon, the grasses blowing in a gentle breeze, and ever-present fresh ocean air.

Archival Properties

NOTE: These Prints are created with Full-color Epson Ultra-Chrome Ink, on selected Archival Paper. This matched process results in a very stable and fade resistant combination. According to the Wilhelm Research Institute, framed with acid free materials under glass and displayed in a place without direct sunlight falling on the image, the years before noticeable fading and/or changes in color are 65. Displayed with UV Glass is 100 years. If you have questions regarding Jan's photography, please call Jan Jagoe at 541/902-2505.
